Emergency aid project in Ukraine

Our aid measures in Ukraine are aimed at the following areas:

1. Safe access to and repair of water infrastructure

• Operation of a mobile washing and showering facility in Kherson oblast
• Organization of drinking water transports in Donetsk and Kharkiv oblasts
• Repair of water infrastructure such as pipes or sewage systems in Donetsk and Kharkiv oblasts

2. Provision of shelters and winter aid

• Expansion, renovation and furnishing of safe emergency shelters in Ivano-Frankivsk oblast and equipping the shelters with blankets, mattresses and cooking utensils
• Distribution of heating materials in the Donetsk and Kharkiv oblasts to particularly vulnerable households to tide them over during the coldest winter months
• Operation of a drop-in facility for private home repairs with loan of essential items and equipment in Mykolaiv oblast
• Support for elderly or physically impaired people in repairing houses in Mykolaiv oblast

3. Protection measures with a focus on psychosocial support to process traumatic experiences and build resilience

• Psychosocial support for victims of sexualized violence in Zaporizhzhya oblast
• Vocational counselling and support for victims of sexualized violence in Zaporizhzhya oblast
• Training for social workers with sensitization for sexual and gender-based violence in Zaporizhya oblast
• Psychosocial support with workshops and art therapy for adults and supervised camps for children in the Transcarpathian and Ivano-Frankivsk oblasts
• Legal advice for displaced persons in the Mykolaiv and Kherson oblasts

4. Cash assistance

• Financial support for particularly vulnerable households during the winter months in the Zaporizhzhya oblast
• Support allows families to cover the most necessary needs for medicine, food and hygiene items at their own discretion
