We initiate petitions as well as calls to prayer and carry out concrete projects in various countries to protect human rights. A particular focus is on religious freedom. In this regard, we advocate for religious tolerance and for the rights of persecuted religious communities.
When human rights are violated through exploitation of the Global South, we support those affected and remind societies of their global social responsibility. One example is the environmental pollution caused by oil production in South Sudan which endangers the health of more than 600,000 people.
In addition, as a member of the Supply Chain Law Initiative, we are committed to protecting human rights and the environment along global supply chains. We also hold consultative status with the United Nations Human Rights Council.
You can read about the organisation’s human rights work in more detail in our annual report.
